Vaccinations

It is important to note that Vaccinations ARE NOT covered by your fees

  • The Center for Disease Control and Prevention makes recommendations for vaccinations
  • Yellow Fever Vaccine is needed for traveling to Uganda and Honduras. You will need to get a yellow fever card to show that you are vaccinated in Uganda or Honduras
  • Malaria Vaccine is needed for traveling to Uganda, Honduras, and Ghana. There are many different types of antimalarials, so The Center for Disease Control and Prevention makes recommendations for the exact type of malaria vaccination you will need based on which country you are traveling to. Prior to the trip, a prescription is made, and the antimalarials are started a day before travel, and continue a week after return.
